| From easy mode go to GPS setup and follow through the pages to set up your omnistar. You might see an option to turn fast restart on/off during this process. I've never done it in easy so if you don't see it there change to advanced mode.
From advanced mode go wrench/system/gps/gps setup and then follow through the screens. I usually leave the satellite frequency on auto select and tell omni where you are when you call in to get your subscription going. We run MSVCN most of the time in Mn. You can choose fast restart during the omni setup process. I usually change the acquisition distance up to 24" for most applications to get acquired faster. It will be very beneficial to have your 500 updated to 3.05 as time to aquire DGPS is much faster.
If you are getting correction after three minutes you are probably running WAAS right now, to see all of your GPS info hit your "I" button on your 500 from the operating screen(number 1 button) until you see GPS info.
