Subject: RE: Wireless rain gauges????

NC
Hi Bob,

i have a Davis wireless 500 i believe is the right number? it says it will shoot the signal 1000ft and further with the use of a repeater. well, mine is on top of a grain bin close to 2000ft away and has always worked with no interruption in signal to my knowledge with no repeater. it is a clear shot across a field into the house with the console being in the middle of the house.

only problem i have had thus far is dead bugs collecting in the rain funnel and clogging up the works there. summer time thing only, just take it off and shake them out and it's back to work.

it will recall the monthly & yearly totals, the yearly highs & lows, hourly rain rate and it offers a forecast based upon recently collected data trends. bought it off the internet and paid 550.00 total. jde
