NW Tennessee | I wasn't but 11 years old, but my dad finished harvesting his `72 bean crop in Feb. or March of `73. Wettest year for me was 1984. I think we finished up in late November or early December. November was actually pretty decent if I remember right, but it rained the whole month of October and kept us out of the field. Finished picking cotton one year in the mid `90's right before Christmas. That was when we still picked everything twice. Scrapping wasn't much fun in a good year, much less that year. | |
