The new head really chews up the stalks, I personally don't think a stalkmaster head would be neccesary. There is definately less trash going into the machine which should reduce hp requirements and less corn riding out the back. I just hope that the knife rolls wear much better than the old ones. I am not seeing shelling off of the head like the older ones, although I have not been in corn under 18% so a little to early to tell.
