Sheldon, ND | Our 2004 9760 we had to replace the plunger and the plastic that is inside the moisture sensor that the plunger rides against. I was all worn out and the anything small was getting past and filling the overflow covers as soon as grain filled up to it. Wheat was the worst. I think I could get a half full tank and then it would stall. And if I can remember correctly I had to power down the combine to reset the moisture sensor. I can't remember the part numbers but it took the dealership some time to find what part numbers to order. It was the first one that they had seen like that. I had to split the moisture sensor and put the new plastic in. In some spots it was worn all the way through and letting dust in behind the plastic. I know for one thing is if you split it make sure it is sealed back up very good. I have heard of water getting in and burning out the motor. On the 60 Series there was a setting that you could change how many samples it takes in a certain time. | |
