North Western Alberta
If Im not mistaken, I think these back axles, are Gilcrest, from hub to hub, arent they? It was on there when I bought it, and apparently, it cost him 17 grand to have it installed. I see that the Mud Hog ones, advertised locally are 19 grand. I could be mistaken, though. I will have to look closer, maybe that axle is factory, and just the ends bolt on. Either way, it broke on the axle tube, and the welds were CRAP. Just sitting here waiting for the welder. I sent wifey to town for two of those big bolts, cause I cant get a wrench or a socket onto the top two. The fireaxe will take the heads off real nice. No waisting time on that crap.
Did you notice, how in all those threads, that the color seems to be the same.... Green??? Hmmmmmm.... Our Deere disc had a few welds break too. Absolutely no penetration on the welds. Im sure glad that Deere doesnt build bridges or airplanes.... lol
