SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ | Just pulled my yield map from yesterday, 30 inch vs 15 inch. Planted at the same population 145,000.
15's were 52.9 and the 30's were 49.8....... This was about the same advantage as my last 10 yrs checking it.
I also boosted my pop to 200000 on the 15's for a round and there was vitually no difference in yield.
I should have done a lower pop at around 125000. I will next year.
Yields are all over the board in SW MN
Weighed some mid 60 bu beans southeast of Luverne, low 50 by fulda, high 40 low 50 by lakefield, hearing mid 30's south of worthington, high 30 low 40 north of slayton towards marshall. | |
