If you're looking for a flooded cell type battery, it is hard to beat the ones sold by CAT. They're made by Johnson Controls.

If you want one of the spiral cell absorbtive glass mat, sealed batteries, look at the Optima. Again, made by Johnson Controls.

My 1992 Cat Challenger was new in 1992. Still on the first set of CAT batteries in it and I've never touched them. Never checked the water level, never unhooked them over winter in my un-heated shed, never had to clean posts.
