Galahad, Alberta | Max, open the concave up at least halfway. You're grinding the canola stalks to powder and overloading the chaffer and sieve. You can probably slow the cylinder down to about 430/450 as well. Little trick I do for handling the canola stooks. Slow the pick-up belts right down to a crawl, and ease into the pile. When the auger fingers grab the pile, the pickup teeth will dig into the underside of the pile, slowing it down, and help to tear it apart so it doesn't go in all in one gulp. Hope you finish up this week, sounds like the weather is going to change on the weekend.
