I think it is your land.
You have been the primary contact for the landowner. You have been making rental agreements. You have been paying the rent directly to the landowner. You have been managing the land, fertility, rotation etc. with no input from the other grower mentioned.
Maybe I've missed something, but I think it's yours. He may have made a mistake in letting his rental agreement lapse and not being the middle-man in this deal, but he will have to live with that.
How many acres are we talking about ? Do you farm other land outside of any agreements with this fellow ? | |
