We had good moisture this year. Probably 8-9 inches from May 1 - Aug 1. For once we didn't totally dryout in July, I think we had 1.5-2 inches in the first two weeks of July, then no rain till early Aug.

I remember the second half of seeding (May 11-19) it was dry, because we where seeding through "wet" spots we haven't been able to for a few years. That was about the only time we where dry, but that was fixed when we got 1.5 inches on May 20. But I would have expected there would have still been decent soil moisture.
