Northeast Louisiana | gmark,
All I can say is consider yourself lucky. I've been running Axial Flow Rice combines since 1979, with specialty rotors when they came out with them, and always had to contend with the thunderstorm sounds and plugging when cutting green stem soybeans, fields with weeds and grass, and rice. Even running full rice spikes on my specialty rotor, still had the problem. Then 4 years ago I put on a Stewart Steel Axcellar AFX style impeller on my 2388. It was a night a day difference, literally. Much smoother and higher capacity, even in very tough soybeans and down rice. Best money I ever spent. Of course new machines usually come with the AFX rotor, so no mods are necessary for them.
I think the Kile is closer to the factory AFX the the Stewart Steel on my machine, so it should work great. | |
