Saskatchewan | You can use a plasma cutter to cut the sheets if you like, works pretty good, you will just have to grind the glass a little to get it started, torching also works good just use safety glasses as the glass likes to pop off where you are cutting it, same goes for plasma. Plasma makes allot nicer cut though. Drilling the holes will take some time though, rent or borrow a mag drill if possible it will make your life allot easier. The drilling may take awhile as the bottom sheets are fairly thick. Also make sure you put strong enough bracing around the door, something similiar to what is already on the door would work.
We did the same thing as Doug did for a customer a couple of years ago, although the door was the same size as the old one, just a different location. | |
