I have 2 converted silos, as for cutting on them, just start cutting the glass will melt away very easy. When drill on them, make a small pilot hole like any other metal drilling. You will just have to sharpen the bit a little more often. Kolhbreker Equipment adds on to the door frame and uses more grain louvers, I prefer to get a hole new door from a grain bin manufacter.
