Subject: Nitrogen from decaying cornstalks

C IL
After about 40+ years of research, what is the answer? Do we get "free" nitrogen for Spring if we incorporate our cornstalks in the Fall while the temp is high so the microbes will eat on the stalks? Or, should we just avoid the stalks and strip till between them and not worry about the nitrogen?
