I would not recommend cutting the coax wires. They are low loss and the quality of your signal will never be the same. If you want to leave the cables there you will need to get another set. They can be disconnected from under the antenna and you can move just the antennas.
Or the higher cost road, but would make life easy is to get the Leica switch kit which includes the antennas and cable. then you will only need to move the console.

there are marine radio enclosures which you could get for the radio. If more ventilation is needed then cut huge holes in the plastic. Then it is just a case of making sure the mounting is rigid.
