| It depends 99% on how well your planter follows the tractor through the field I have fields where I can use the auto track on the combine for corn but most of the time it does not work the combine is trying to drive exactly where the tractor that was pulling the planer drove (If you run a mounted planter I think you % of success would be much better) most of the time my planter dog trails to one side or the other just enough so autotrac on the combine will not work. I purchased Head-sights version Tru-sight for row feeling guidance this fall since I do not run a Deere head on my combine it would have been challenging to make Deere's row guidance work.
