The hyd valve kit is better for steering (than an ATU, I think), it was about a horse apiece having a tech install the kit versus the factory doing it. If you know your stuff you might tackle it yourself.
Whenever we've had badly lodged corn, we have to shutoff the header sensing because the corn gets underneath the snout and the sensor thinks it's getting run into the ground. (i.e., the head keeps raising itself and bouncing wildly due to the corn rebounding.) Not sure if you can turn off rowsense and still autosteer? However, you needed to plant with AT, and the GPS wasn't always so good following the row. |
