Subject: (Video) Combining Soybeans on Contour

Boyden, Iowa Sioux County
In 2007 I planted my soybeans with Trimble's Autopilot and implement steering on the planter using RTK. I followed the AB identical curve established with the planter when harvesting the soybeans. The planter is a 16 row and I harvest with a JD 630 12 row bean table. I shifted the AB line over 2 rows to center the combine on the 12 rows and followed that line through the field. I was not able to harvest corn with the EZ-Steer in 2007 using established AB lines because I planted the corn without guidance, since I had put my strips in the fall of 06 manually and wanted to follow them. This year I did plant all acres with RTK Autopilot and will be able to harvest both corn and beans with the EZ-Steer.

Here are links to two videos of harvesting last Fall on the contour after planting with an Autopilot equipped tractor.
