Sure, you can do it yourself. You just need the 3.08 firmware, which your dealer may be willing to give you, a copy of FlashLoader100, also from the Trimble website, and the data cable to connect the computer to the receiver and power the receiver. Case IH p/n 277885A1, or Trimble p/n 30945.

If your dealer won't give you 3.08, you can either give your receiver to him and have him load 3.08, or you can load 3.06 instead from the Trimble website. It won't fix the satellite acquisition problem, but it will ensure you have the correct WAAS sats configured by default. The latest versions of Pro600 software allow you to manually reset the receiver from a button on the GPS Setup screen, which is an alternative to running v3.08.
