southern MN
Are you in a 18.000 or 40,000 population situation - how much trash are we talking about?

What soil & moisture conditions are we looking at 'typically', hard clay, soft wet clay, sandy, etc.?

What do you want to end up with - smooth level field ready to put a regular planter into, or rough & lots of trash on top to hold the ground down, just worked up some in fall?

Is this a fall or spring operation anyhow - 'here' in MN we do heavier tillage in fall, and lighter once-over tillage in spring. Not sure when you plan to do this operation, as it sounds like you only want to do lighter tillage but end up with a good seedbed?

Will get 100 different suggestions to your question, but none will be worth much without knowing more about what you have & what you want to accomplish.

Nothing I do in my heavy yellow clay & black peat ground in the tundra & wet cold conditions of Minnesota likel would apply for your needs. :)
