NE SD
We have a 40' model. We like it a lot. Works well in wheat stubble with the harrow down and it tough trash in the spring. After pulling ours with a chipped 8220 I wouldn't entertain the idea of buying a 40' if all I had was an 8420. 320+ hp is about right for it. Our 8220 set on +30% would only pull it about 10mph in hard wheat stubble in August and 8mph in soft ground in the spring set shallow. In order for it to do a good job, at drying out the ground in the spring, it seems like you need to run it 11-12mph. Normally we pull(ed) it with a 9300 JD.
