Subject: Re: tire balanceing?

Nth New South Wales Australia
We run super singles on the steer axle of one of our semi's and have used the packets(one in each tyre)before and they did work well. However a note of caution, as we were warned when they were put in(by the tyre dealer)that any tyre faults will be covered up by the ability of these balancers to mask a tyre going bad.He was right ,as one tyre recently developed a bubble and was lifting along the tread and was exibiting no shaking at all, only a visual inspection found it before it went pop.He also said they have been known to mask bad steering components as they are always compensating for wear.
