Subject: Re: tire balanceing?

NESD
Local tire shop put Balancing Compound in the tires on my service truck once, I don't know if larger tires are different but mine are 19.5", it had varying degrees of vibration from running smooth to vibrating soo bad that it would jerk the steering wheel, it might run good until I would slow down to turn a corner and then it would start vibrating and I would have to stop to get the stuff to shift and maybe smooth out, Tire shop manager argued with me that the compound wasn't the problem, there must be something wrong with the suspension, I told him to take it out and balance them the normal way which he didn't want to do, I told him either he could keep my business and take it out or someone else would, he finally dismounted the tires and removed the compound and balanced them, ran nice and smooth after that.
