| the only time i would consider using straight fluted rolls is in dry land country where you want to have a lot of stalks left standing to catch snow in the winter. They are good for nothing else. Tapered fluted rolls are a little better. the stalks can actually engage the rolls better and some are picked off as they should be. I've had both styles. We're getting ready to install calmers knife rolls and deck plates. Hoping to be done with 4 foot tall stringy stalks left standin after we leave a field.... | |
