Subject: RE: EZ Steer calibration and operation difficulty

Centre county Pennsylvania, USA
Son and I have installed, calibrated, and operate two Trimble EZGuide/Steer systems all by ourselves (no dealer support or Trimble training). Both systems have been EZ to install and "dial-in", EZ to operate, EZ on budget, and trouble free from day one. I'm thinking if folks are skilled enough to assemble new stuff that comes with "some assembly required" sticker on box they shouldn't need dealer support to install and dial-in EZGuide/Steer systems. Also, if folks are skilled enough to operate new SUV, pickup truck, or combine, without attending company sponsored SUV, pickup truck, or combine, training school then they shouldn't need any dealer or company support to operate Trimble's EZGuide/Steer systems.

Does anyone know why some (not all) precision Ag systems require intensive dealer support and company training while more complex SUVs, pickup truck's, networked PC's, personal WiFi systems, etc, do not ?
