Subject: EZ Steer calibration and operation difficulty

I am considering purchasing a new EZ Guide 500 and EZ Steer. I would be installing it on a 1254 Rogator and CaseIH 2188 combine. I can purchase this online for $1700 less than local Case IH dealer quote. I am reasonably familiar with GPS equipment as I have been running a lightbar for years and do my own GPS soil grid sampling. My question is will I be able to calibrate and operate this system myself without local dealer support? I understand the value of local support but $1700 is a lot of money.
