Used a hacksaw and made as neat a cut as I could around it. Then used a zip tie to hold the 2 halves together.
I did that on a 1254 Rogator which somehow shares the exact same steering column setup as your tractor. Worked out OK, looks pretty decent, but wouldn't look so good if I took the EZ motor bracket off.
