| I checked voltage coming out of the alternator instead of the volt gauge and found out the gauge lies a lot. I have probably had as good of luck with the 5088 alternator as any. You might consider a one wire one. I know of a few guys that had problems with alternators and changed to them and they were better. My old combine was one of those didn't have much trouble after the change, lots before. I don't recall a heat shield there either. | |
