I know what you mean about the right-hand side, just too tight to clean out easily. I have one of the old style clean-out chutes that is straight, doesn't have the two bends in it that Deere added after they bought the idea from the little Saskatchewan company that made them. Every night I drain the sump into a five gallon pail and clean it good with a narrow stick that I can shove up the chute from the bottom. Couldn't do that to the newer style because Deere added the bends to the chute. I have seen combines where the owners torched out the middle grate so stuff would drain out easier, not sure if it's a good idea, but it has been done.....
