A company called ATI makes something very, very similar to what is shown in the picture here in N. America. I have heard that JD is offering this from their dealers in Europe but I don't know if JD is building or copied an ATI design or if they are purchasing it from another vendor. Cost prohibitive? Almost certainly. You won't like the ride characteristics compared to what else is out there in tracks. If you can't have red on the farm, why not a JD track tractor offered here or even better, a Cat? Consider the advantages of the two track, fixed frame tractor over any 4-track articulated frame: a Cat will have far better fuel economy from a more fuel efficient engine with better torque, lower parasitic losses through the powertrain, no articulation system to maintain/repair, vastly superior ride, better resale value, and who has a better repuation building tracks than Cat? All of these add up to a better tractor with a lower ownership cost over a longer service life compared to red or green. If you want tracks, your best investment is an MT800. You'll spend more money and get far fewer features and performance with these aftermarket systems compared to an MT800 Cat.
