Subject: RE:Been sandbagging on the one remaining levy

Central Mo

Thanks for backing me up guys.

Have been helping a neighbor this afternoon put out some sandbags.  Had a lot of good help show up.  Water was only trickeling over so bags two high was all we had to do.  He's a good operator so the levy is very level so if one spot goes over it will all go, probably not a tenth or two difference in the whole thing.

Before this big rain the sandbars were showing in the Chariton river and the Grand was well within it's banks.  So leaving a tractor in a field with a levy by a creek wouldn't be out of the question. So they weren't trying to finish planting before the flood.  We aren't getting water from the Mississippi so we didn't know it was coming.   When you get 6-9 inches of rain in 3-4 hours is not a common occurance.

The bad thing here is the guy was called a dumbarse and made reference he was in it for the insurance.

I can say that I don't hold some of the guys on here in as high a regard as I used to.
