Chebanse, IL.....

Setting the LOW LIMIT is a hit & miss affair. The setting is in gallons/minute, not psi. This difference will be important to know. The Ravens doesn't deal w/psi at all. So, when you're spraying/applicating @ normal speed, straight & level, all booms on, just push the button that says FLOW RATE. Note that number...it's gpm. Now, reduce that number mathematically by about 1/2. Now, this "1/2" thing is just a suggestion (my suggestion). Maybe your check valves will still close on you depending on what pressure you're working at normally. If your normal flow rate is 20 gpm, your reduced answer would be about 10. Then, enter that # in the LOW LIMIT. Try that out. The Raven will not allow the sprayer/applicator to fall below 10 gpm, assuming the pump will continue to supply that much material. Let's say you have an engine or pto pump & you idle down for the ends. Now it's the pump that will fall below 10 gpm supply & there's nothing the Ravens can do about that.

The Ravens will also beep & flash & warn you that you are operating in the MINIMUM FLOW range. The reason is, you may now be actually over-applying material since you've basically stopped the Raven from shutting down further to adjust for your speed. If your target goal was 10 GPA through the field, you may actually be applying 15 gpa while you slow down & turn. Depending on what you're doing or what product you're using, that may not be a problem.

Good luck there. The Ravens is a very good machine. You should be able to make it do just about anything you want.
