Bite the bullet and go out and spray the whole field with round up 2-4-d, pre-emerge of choice, and an insecticide. With $5+ corn why even take a risk, ecspecially as late as it is getting, replanting will cost more than all the cost of the chemistry you are putting down. Last year I had 5 acres get cut off by cutworms in the back of a field and I went in and replanted June 20th. the corn still made 120 bu. but the stuff right beside it was making 180 bu. That 300 bu of corn that I didn't raise would of paid for insecticide on my whole farm, and that seed corn was triple w/ Poncho 250. So your trip will more than pay for itself if you would have a problem. With today's cost of everything inputs and revenues, the little thing will separate the men from the boys.
