Sunnyvale, CA | I forgot to mention that these antennas may have small (usually) azimuth gain variations over 360 degrees and it is imporant to keep the orientation the same when you move the antenna from one vehicle to another. also since the WAAS SVs are in the south, you should point your tractor south to minimize tractor induced multipath that might alter the readings of one antenna compared the other. To measure the azimuth ripple I have drive in slow circles (two minimum) while recording the GPS SNRs and other GPS data using AgRemote on a laptop computer with Synched measurements enabled and plot the SNRs and vehicle headings in Excel. | |
