I would stick with the 3.73 gears - just bought one @ end of year. Has plenty of power although I have not pulled loaded trailer with it yet, the trans is a 6 speed, engine rpms stay fairly low at highway speeds, still it likes the gas - so far averaging 12-13, hoping for some improvement with break in - my 1999 w/6.0 & 3.73 runs 13 mpg for general farm use but will do 14-17 hwy trips.
