Saginaw Michigan
well....
there was no orange white in the harness. i thought about putting one in it, but that harness was buried in the dash of the patriot... would have been quite alot of work. so what we did was put a relay inline of each boom signal wire. then hooked the coil side of the relay to the foot switch. when the foot switch is off, the relay is closed and the boom functions normally, and the ezboom functions normally. when the footswitch is engaged, the relay is opened and the boom signal wires are all broken. thus the booms shutoff. only problem with this arrangement is that the ezboom thinks the booms are still on. operator wanted it for "emergency" use. basically those moments when you come around the headland and know a boom section will hang over the ditch or road, you dont want it turning on. so he can hit the floor switch, the ezboom will try to turn it on, but the ball valve wont actuate. once the operator is back where he should be, hit the floor switch again and everything is back to normal. if the operator forgot to hit the floor switch the ezboom would thing the booms were on, but there would be no flow, so it would give the "rate not respnding" error. the operator would then realize his mistakes.
not perfect, but achieves what they wanted to do.
i really wasnt sure how the ezboom would handle the remote master arrangement. sounds like it will work fine..
