$.45/lb hanging weight plus $28 kill charge. So 1200 lbs steer x 60% = 720 lbs hanging weight x $.45 = $324 + $28 kill charge = $352.
Now a steer thats worth $1200 on the hoof must weigh 1500 lbs ($1200/ $.80) so 1500 lbs x 60% = 900 lbs hanging weight x $.45 = $405 + $28 kill charge= $433.
