The idea behind heating the bolt is that it will expand in volume (if you can get it hot enough without melting the head, i.e. red) while the surrounding casting has only localized heating and doesn't heat up as quickly, the bolt will yield due to the restraint of the surrounding casting. After the bolt cools to ambient temperature and contracts, it should be easier to remove.
Any ideas how to get a weight braket off?
