Subject: Can a grass seeder attatchment be used for fertilizer?

Southeast Colorado
I just bought a Great Plains 3-point grain drill that has a grass seed attatchment on it. I would love to be able to put dry phoshate down with my wheat seed. Has anyone tried this? It has a fluffer auger that turns in the middle of the box but the chain could be removed easily. I'm just wondering if the metering set-up would work? Any suggestions are certainly appreciated.
