We used some of the Great Plains wheels like you have where we did not have enough yetters the first year. I actually like the job from the Great Plains better then the yetter spike wheels.
We were only running one wheel per row so I can't really comment on your questions too much. Just make sure the teeth are not able to get into the seed.
