Subject: washed up piles of chaff?

Bourbon, Indiana
We have some river bottom ground and it seems like every year it always washes chaff up to the edge of the water then when the water goes away we're left with 18inches of chaff. I've battled this for quite awhile, I've tried disking numerous times, scattering it out with field cultivator and nothing seems to work good enough. Now mind you I'm talking about 3 acres of solid 18" corn and bean chaff. Last year I just let it go cuz I gave up on it. but this year I'd like to figure something out..I guess I could burn it but I'm not to wild about that idea either.

and idears? I"m sure I'm not the only one with this problem.
