When you look at the valve from underneath,isn't there a threaded stud pointing straight down that takes a 5/16" allen wrench and has a 15/16" jam nut securing it?This sets pressure of the detent. Loosen the jam nut and tighten stud (only 1/8 turn at a time) and see if that helps. Has always worked for me .
