Subject: Magnum 7250 hyd detents

I noticed the hyd lever on remote # 1 does not have much resistance when you go from neutral to flow and vice versa. # 2 is a little better and #3 and 4 feel like new. I use 1 and 2 the most. I removed the covers on the bottom of the valve stack and they have 6 balls between 2 washers. The bottom washer is inclined up as you move outward I assume that the spring inside of the unit presses the balls together towards the center which provides resistance against the valve stem which has 2 cone shaped pieces mounted on top of each other, one "vee pointing down and the lower "vee" pointing up. I took 3 of them apart and they don't appear much different. What does one replace to get the detent feeling back? Is it the springs that are too weak or do the "vee" shaped pieces on the valve stem need to be replaced? Anybody have any experience with these? Thanks in advance.
