West Union, Illinois

CND - 3/4/2008 23:09 I just want to know if it will fit in the opening of the bin doors.
That is one of the interesting things about this forum, and why from time to time we need to explain ourselves better.  I would never consider putting the auger through the door.  In fact, except for 3 bins I rented off a neighbor this year, it is not a possibility for me.

Well, I take that back.  I do have a couple I use that belong to landowners with sliding gates in the door. But they do not lend themselves to putting an auger through them.  It would be an awful mess by the time we got an auger in them.

All of ours, and this seems to be standard operating procedure in this part of the world, have horizontal tubes either in the concrete if non-aerated, or under the floor if aerated, that either a screw and head bolt to (like this one from Hutchison)

or just a tube an auger slides into.
