Any electric over hydrolic will work. The most important thing is how the unit is mounted. If you try to skimp on the mounting--- you will have tweeking and twisting that will rip any truck bed apart. Also, the drilling/ screwing kind are okay for frozen ground but they become filled with trash giving you a headache. So in short, get the probe, mount it right, and you can go through an inch to two inches of frost.. Different tips are sold that screw in the end of the probes so make sure you get the most effeciant one for your work. Stay off the row.
