Subject: RE: Shop Work Benches or storage shelvers ?

central - east central Minnesota -
AS the others have posted - do you want a work bench or storage shelves. Most work benches end up as storage (organized or not). I agree most with Marc's (agboy) post. He has about the right sized bench and it has multi uses. A 20 ft bench against the wall would be all I'd consider and the remainder of the space would be heavy duty storage shelves. I'm currently helping a trucker buddy build 50ft of "work" bench, but, given his habits, it'll be storage.  The bench is made out of wood (2x10), 42 in tall and 37in deep (4-2x10's). All the wood was on sale from Menards last week. Each 10ft section is right at $110 bucks. Screws seem to be the most expensive part. I"ll take some pic's tomorrow and post back here . . . . .
