I agree with BHTN, you need to turn the key 3 or 4 times to cycle the glow plugs that many times before cranking. I believe the throttle neeeds to be up about 1/2 way also. Mine never did crank very well. The only way to really fix the problems that engine has is to trade it for a newer one with a Perkins engine. Just my opinion though. Rick
