It's been about 6 years since I farrowed but we always clipped teeth. On some of the more antsy sows and especially gilts it would cut crushing death unbelievably. I used to like to get them about two to three days of age. Clip all teeth, give them an iron shot and castrate and remove the tails. Get it over with they would bounce right back.
