Ripley, Ontario Canada | If your current wells are only 18 feet deep, that really isn't much to abandon if you are drilling a new well. I take it these are big diameter wells, not like the 6 inches of a deep drilled well? The way most drill rigs work now, it would be impossible to work in a big well to drill deeper, there would be no way to force the mud back to the surface. I drilled a new well 8 years ago, a good way to spend $9000 in about 7 hours, but that was for 197 feet of 6 inch well with 165 feet of casing. They started at 8:30 am and had pumped the well for an hour and were back on the road at 3:30 same day, 2 guys and 2 trucks, and $6000. | |
